Online Therapy
I work online and use Skype and Zoom.
The benefits of online therapy are the following:
- You can have your session from the comfort of your own home
- It can feel less stressful as there is no need to travel to your appointment
- Sometimes people feel more able to be vulnerable because they are in their own home
- Payment is made via Paypal or direct transfer 24 hours prior to your call
The negatives are as follows:
- Sometimes there are technology issues so this can be frustrating
- You miss out on the face-to-face contact
- Some therapeutic exercises can be harder to do online than if you were in the room
